What to practise before a HireVue assessment
Most candidates prepare for the interview questions but under-prepare the mechanics of the assessment platform itself: the timer, the changing game rules, the speed of response, the on-camera pressure and the absence of a second chance. Prepwise focuses on those mechanics.
The practical goal is not to memorise a secret answer key. The goal is to make the format familiar: how the game asks for input, how fast the timer moves, what a level change feels like, how a one-way interview starts, and how to structure an answer while the camera is recording.

Full game-based assessment suite
Prepwise covers the full game suite currently used in the product: Numerosity, Digit Span, Disco Numbers, Shape Dance, Flashback, Puzzle Picture, Pathfinder, Portrait, PortraitXT, Teamchat, Singularity and E-Motions.
Most games are marked Verified in the product. Teamchat is marked as strongly based on public references. Singularity and E-Motions remain Beta until stronger public reference data is available.
Video interview rehearsal
The interview module is designed to feel like a one-way recorded interview rather than a generic speaking exercise. The standard Prepwise flow uses four questions, two minutes of preparation and three minutes to answer, with a break between questions. Real employers can change timings, so the product labels this clearly.
For practice, Prepwise lets you replay and download the local recording. In the real interview, users should assume there is no replay or retake after recording begins. Feedback is generated from the transcript or answer text, not by uploading the local video file.
Company assessment packs
For high-intent candidates, the fastest route is usually a company pack. Prepwise currently publishes stronger packs for Shell, Unilever, BHP and NATO YPP / Internship. If the employer is not listed, use the full-suite fallback and follow the exact instructions in your official invitation.
